President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has assured the people of Bonkua Number One and two communities, that the seven-kilometre feeder road that link Kraboa to the main Suhum-Nsawam trunk road would be tarred.
Madam Florence Govina, the District Chief Executive for Ayensuano gave the assurance during an interview with the Ghana News Agency, after the Assembly’s first ordinary meeting of the second session at Coaltar in the Eastern Region.
She said the President was fully aware of the plight of the over 5,000 farmers around Kraboa-Coaltar and its environs and had assured that he would do everything possible to ameliorate their suffering for them to go about their activities.
Madam Govina said during the President’s campaign period he assured all farmers in the country that his government would provide motorable roads to enable them to transport their farm produce to marketing centres.
She said the Assembly was supporting in the re-gravelling of Adoagyiri Owuram road and that Agriculture Extension Officers would continue to assist farmers in the District so that they produce high yields.
“This is in a way to help the farmers to get more money to look after their children while accessing the free education policy by President Akufo-Addo’s government,” she said.
