The Community Food Bank Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) has donated food items worth GH¢4,850 to needy people at Gomoa Buduatta and Gomoa Amoanda in the Central Region.
The items were bags of rice, gallons of oil, boxes of sardine, and bags of sugar, among others.
Mr Emmanuel Antwi, the Operations Officer of the NGO in an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Gomoa Buduatta in the Gomoa East District said the vision of the organisation was to feed the poor and needy persons in society, especially in the rural areas.
He said: “a hungry man is an angry man” and therefore appealed to the government, philanthropic organisations, corporate bodies and individuals to support the NGO to extend a helping hand to needy to improve their living condition.
