Mr Edward Annan, the Managing Director of Masai Developers, has called on Ghanaians to take education and skills acquisition seriously to enable them to achieve their aims and contribute to national development.
He identified education as the basis of all advancement and said without it no one or country could make it in this modern technological world. Mr Annan was speaking at the 14th Public Lecture of the Accra College of Medicine on Wednesday at Adjiringano in Accra on the theme: “Let’s Create Wealth’.
He said with education as a tool, one would not only become innovative but could also establish businesses and employ others. Mr Annan said, by doing so, one would be contributing to the socio-economic advancement and finding a solution to the unemployment problems.
“With education, one can identify and articulate his or her God-given talents to become innovative and outstanding in this modern world of technological advancement,” he said. Mr Annan urged the Government, businesses and industrial institutions to invest more in educating the people to reap more benefits.
He commended the College for organising the lecture and impacting Ghanaians with skills.
Professor Afua Hesse, the President of the College, said the institution would continue to offer quality education and training for its students.
