So much traffic everywhere and at any time of the day. Fuel prices keep going up and there is no end to price hikes on consumables in the markets. A few tips to cut down on costs.
Park the car and take public transport once a while. It helps to relieve the stress of driving and sitting in traffic. You can concentrate more on your surroundings when you are not driving and interact with more people in the car or, on the bus. You get to hear a lot of interesting things, learn of people’s woes, get to hear of people’s perspectives of life and all aspects of the economy.
Walk a little more often. It is good exercise for the body. You lose excess weight, cholesterol is reduced, blood sugar is also reduced, high blood pressure is managed, less money on drugs, less side effects and you are healthier and happier.
How about cycling as well? Also very good exercise for the body but more dangerous because of the lack of cycle paths on our roads and how dangerously we drive on our roads.
But, all said and done, walking or cycling will help us cut down on costs and improve on our health.
Let’s try it.
