The first Aerospace and Aviation Exhibition and Conference in the West African region has taken place in Accra, Ghana. Dubbed “The African Airshow”, the event povided an opportunity for the convergence and engagement of major players within the African and global aviation space with the view to positioning the African Aviation industry at the forefont of regional and global interest.
His Excellency, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, who spoke at the event said that it was also a platform for partners to exhibit the latest technologies and products that would enhance the development of the industry.
Nana Addo said that he was confident that the exhibition would open up various investment opportunities in the aviation sector which had the potential to stimulate growth in other sectors of the economy.
He was hopeful that the airshow would create opportunities for aircraft fleet modernization, aviation investment opportunities, aircraft financing and networking so as to ensure continuous growth of air transport business across the continent.
His Excellency said that his government is committed to working with the private sector to offer modern, attractive air transport infrastructure, building the capacity and establishing an institional policy framework to enhance safety and security of air services in the country.
The event attracted exhibitors and visitors from all over the world.
