School Fees Ghana (SFG) has invited local and foreign investors to join them take care of thousands of students who need school fees to further their educations especially at the tertiary level.
“We need all to come in either through equity or debt to enable us to assist our younger ones who have gained admission to various tertiary schools in the country.”
The Executive director of SFG, Ms Abigail Kutah, made the appeal at a round table discussion on funding for education in Accra.
She said SFG is doing all to assist as many students as possible who applied for financial assistance from our outfit and as you know “we can’t carry the boat alone, when we are majority we can do better”.
Assistance
SFG offers financial assistance to students/workers to pay school fees at all levels of education and they pay back with interest.
Ms Kutah said over hundred thousand students qualify each year to enter either the university or other tertiary institutions across the country yet few are able to start school because of high school fees.
“We are doing our bit and we are inviting all no matter the amount you have to let’s help these young ones before they drop their dreams, You will not regret in investing with SFG.”
Ms Kutah asked prospective university students to apply for their school fees early from SFG and not wait till schools reopen. “This enables us to serve you all in time to register for academic work.”
Invest in education
An investment consultant, Mr Alex Amoako, reiterated the need for well-to-do Ghanaians to channel some of their investment to education-related activities. “The best legacy we can give to our younger generation is quality education ‘so that they can use the knowledge acquired to solve their own problems and that of society,” he added.
