The chief and people in five farming communities in the Sekyere Central District - Nkudwua, Ntrodo, Asare Nkwanta and Gariba, have appealed to the government to intervene to stop the destruction of their food crop farms by Fulani herdsmen and their cattle.
The area has come under invasion by the Fulani and their herd of about 10,000 cattle.
Nana Kwasi Dankwah, the chief of Nkudwua, speaking on behalf of the farmers, said the herdsmen and their animals were making things uncomfortable for them. He said the animals were not only wreaking havoc on food crop farms but destroying their water sources.
The people could not continue to be terrorized by the Fulani and that it was time the government acted decisively to protect them and their investment, he added
