Mr Joseph Dindiok Kpemka, Member of Parliament (MP) for the Tempane constituency in the Garu-Tempane district of the Upper East Region has assured his constituency that he would focus on improving health, agriculture and education during his tenure of office.
He said those areas were the most important aspects of the lives of the people and improving upon them would enhance their livelihood.
He said he would liaise with the central government, district assemblies, and nongovernmental organizations and international bodies to carry out well-planned health, agriculture and education policies to liberate the people from their economic doldrums.
Mr Kpemka said this in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) on Monday at Tempane.
He said government’s policies of improving the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), putting up more health facilities, planting for food and jobs as well as the free senior high school policies, one village, one dam and the one district, one factory would be expeditiously pursued to enable the people of the Tempane area get their fair share of the national cake.
He said he would collaborate with MASLOC and secure micro credit to engage the women in trading and farming activities to enable them live decent lives.
The Member of Parliament mentioned that he would devote his share of the Common Fund by making financial and logistics support available to ensure the success of the objective.
He urged the traditional leaders and opinion leaders of the area to give him the needed support as he would not renege in his efforts to contribute his quota to the development and aspirations of the people.
