The Nyaho Medical Centre has unveiled new services aimed at positioning the hospital in the Health Industry as an organisation that has varied expert individuals working to achieve successful health outcomes for its patients.
The unveiling of the new Nyaho Medical Centre facilities include; various services and the revealing of the success story of the hospital, which was over 47 years of existence at the Villa Monticello Hotel at Airport Residential, Accra.
Ruth Maafo, the Corporate Affairs Manager, Nyaho Medical Centre in an opening address noted that the event was to celebrate another milestone in the history of Nyaho Medical Centre.
She said for 47 years, Nyaho Medical Centre had worked tirelessly to offer the best medical care to mother Ghana by bringing together the best specialists across the globe together. “The narrative of Nyaho as a Ghanaian success story and a brand pioneering collaborative health care model would be boosted with new additions,” she said.
Dr Elikem Tamakloe, Managing Director, Nyaho medical centre in telling the success story of the medical centre said: “Nyaho Medical Centre was founded in 1970 on the premise of group medical practice where specialists from various fields of medicine used their varied skills to work efficiently and co-operatively with a team approach to patient care.
“This established Nyaho as the first private group medical practice in Ghana and has been the basis of the centres’s success for 47 years and counting,” he added. According to Dr Tamakloe, the centre is an organisation with varied expert (not just medical specialists) working to achieve successful health outcomes for its patients, the patient-specialist relationship is very important component, thus the rebranding.
“The very best patient care has always been our top priority; the new additions we are introducing to the Nyaho brand are new interactive website, Queue management system for improved patient’s itinerary within hospital, New/repackaged health screening services and the Launch of family physician programme.”
In an interview Dr Nyaho Tamakloe said as Ghana’s first private group medical practice; Ghanaians should expect more and improved services from the centre as part of the rebranding exercise.“We are going to intensify our team approach to patient care and also seek to work on bringing more and more specialists into Nyaho's system of practising Medicare.
“The new interactive website will make the system less stressful as it gives customers information on the go and customers should look forward to an improved patient’s itinerary within hospital via our queue management system and our Launch of family physician programme.”
Dr. Elikem Tamakloe assumed the position of Managing Director in April 2015 and now serves the hospital and striving to achieve the vision of providing the best medical and nursing care in Ghana.
