The Kaase Basic School, in Kumasi, has received 15
desktop computers and accessories, a printer and a Laptop computer, valued at GH ¢10,000.00.
The equipments were donated by Coca Cola Bottling Company, in response to an appeal made to it by the assembly member for the area, Mr Charles Oduro Acheampong.
Mr Isaac Kofi Antwi, the Public Affairs Manager, said it was their contribution towards
efforts at enhancing the teaching and learning of Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the school.
He said he was confident that the computers would help the children to become effective part of globalization.
He underlined the need for the school authorities to handle the computers with care, to
serve the intended purpose.
The Headmistress, Madam Felicia Mpiani, thanked the company for the kind gesture and said this could not have come at a better and opportune time.
Mr Oduro Acheampong commended the Member of Parliament (MP) for Asokwa, Mr Maxwell Kofi Jumah for putting up an ICT Centre for the school.
He appealed to other companies operating in the area to also assist the school.
