Officials in China say they have confirmed 21 coal miners died last month when two underground mines flooded.
The bodies of two of the dead miners were recovered Sunday from one mine at Guiyang City in Guizhou province, Xinhua reported. They were among 13 miners trapped in the Fuhong coal mine May 29. Three more bodies were recovered earlier.
Officials say the eight others, who remain buried, had no chance of survival, the state-run news agency said.
Two miners' bodies were recovered Saturday night from an illegal mine in Dushan County on the border of the Guangzi Zhuang autonomous region and Guizhou province. Six bodies had been found earlier in that accident, which occurred May 31.
