Indian northern state Jammu and Kashmir's High Court Bar Association President Mian Abdul Qayoom has been released after the state government revoked the orders of his detention under the Public Safety Act (PSA) last week.
Qayoom, who was arrested in July last year for allegedly fuelling anti-national protests, was released from a Jammu jail on Saturday. The state government revoked the orders of his detention under PSA on Thursday.
Several cases of alleged anti-national activities have been registered against the Bar president in police stations in Srinagar, Jammu and Kathua districts of the state.
