A 35 year old galamsey operator, Moses Amihere, has been fined 180 Ghana cedis or in default to go jail for three months in hard labour for stealing.
He pleaded guilty.
Prosecuting Police Detective Oscar Amponsah told the court presided over by Mr. Samuel Obeng Diawuo that on November 13 this year at 1330 hours
at Akoon Top, suburb of Tarkwa, the complainant Kofi Aikon, a private security officer of Intertek Minerals Resources Ackon was on duty at the
house of Mr. Share Maclaughllin, General Manager of Intertek.
Whiles on duty, he heard some unusual noise in the Mr Maclaughllin's room.
Chief Inspector Amponsah said the guard noticed that one of the windows and doors valued at 1,500 cedis had been damaged.
The prosecutor said as Ackon stood by the damaged window, Amihere emerged from the room with the lower part of his body.
Inspector Amponsah said Ackon quickly raised an alarm while still holding the legs of the suspect.
The prosecutor said with the assistance of the others, the suspect was pulled out of the room holding a pair of scissors.
