Nana Nyarko Boadum 11, Chief of Akumsa-Domase in Nkoranza South District, has urged his people to unite and focus on the conception and implementation of development programmes in the community.
Nana Boadum was addressing the people at the weekend during the celebration of the Annual Munufie yam festival of the chiefs and people in the area.
He advised the people to guard against partisan politics, which he said could divide them and affect the development of the area.
The chief called on parents to invest in the education of their children for them to become responsible adults to serve the community and the country.
Nana Boadum emphasized the need for the youth to eschew all sorts of social vices and to take their education seriously.
He called on parents to encourage their girls to pursue education and not push them into early marriages, saying the practice had adversely affected the lives of many women.
The chief cautioned the youth against pre-marital sex and advised the girls to be wary of unscrupulous men who would lure them into sex with gifts.
He paid special tribute to the elders and opinion leaders of the area for joining hands with him in over-seeing to the management of the area throughout the year.
Nana Boadum urged stakeholders in the community to maintain their cooperative spirit for the good of the people and the development of the area.
