Tata Africa Holdings Ghana Limited (TAHGL) has officially inaugurated a fully functional state-of-the-art Sales & Service facility in Kpone, Tema on November 8th 2010. The sales, service & spares facility is intended to serve customers in the Greater Accra Region. It would complement the existing network of TAHGL Authorized Dealer, PHC Motors in Accra and other cities. It will enable customers to buy range of TATA brands and enhance quality of service from TATA.
Honorable Minister of Trade and Industry, Ms. Hannah Tetteh jointly with the Managing Director of TATA Africa Holdings official inaugurated this facility. In her speech the Honorable Minister said that the relationship between Ghana and India continues to grow from strength to strength, adding that the growing interest in Ghana shows investors have confidence in Ghana as a good place for business and as an ideal platform to reach out to the rest of West Africa. She said the TATA facility is one such facility that boosts employment opportunities for the youth in Ghana. She urged the youth to regard employment opportunities not only as income generating avenues but platforms to develop themselves.
Mr. Raman Dhawan, Managing Director of TATA Africa Holdings based in South Africa reaffirmed TATA’s commitment to Ghana and Africa. He explained TATA`s future investment plans in other sectors of the Ghanaian economy including ICT and the Healthcare. He gave an in depth account of TATA’s philosophy and explained to the gathering why TATA had become such an international statesman like brand.
