Educational institutions have been called upon to provide religious and moral training for the youth.
Mr Isaac Adoah, Director of Purity International Schools, therefore called on the teachers and parents to collaborate effectively and use the teachings of the Bible to educate the
youth to live above reproach, so they would become responsible citizens in future.
Mr Adoah was addressing over 450 children and teachers of the school at its headquarters at Asuboi.
The school also has a branch at Sowatey, all in the Suhum-Kraboa-Coaltar District.
The Director expressed regret that a number of the youth engaged in vices such as drug addiction, armed robbery, illicit sex and alcoholism and was of the view that unless these
practices were checked, there could be no better hope for the country.
He reiterated that collaboration between parents and teachers in the training of the children would ensure discipline in school.
Mr Adoah urged parents to visit schools regularly to interact with teachers to ascertain the performance of their children and to help address problems they faced.
The Director advised parents to invest in the education of their children and to encourage those, who could not further their studies to learn vocations and improve on their skills for self-employment.
