A Fast Track High Court in Accra hearing the case of Ibrahim Sima, Chief Executive Officer of Exopa Modelling Agency, who is being tried over alleged drugs offences, is to deliver its judgment on January 19, 2011.
Mr James Agalga, counsel for Ibrahim, told journalists in Accra that he had procured all the proceedings and was going to file his address.
The prosecution is also expected to file its address.
After filing the addresses, Mr Agalga said, the court would deliver its judgement on the next adjourned date.
The case, which commenced in September 2009, saw the prosecution calling five witnesses while the defence produced two witnesses.
Sima, who has been charged with attempting to export narcotic drugs and possessing narcotic drugs without authority, has denied the charges and is on remand.
The prosecution's case is that the accused allegedly concealed five kilograms of drugs suspected to be cocaine in tubers of yam while travelling to Frankfurt, Germany, on September 7, 2009.
While going through departure formalities, officials of NACOB opened his luggage and found the tubers of yam sliced and joined.
When the yams were opened, the drugs were found concealed in them.
The prosecution said Sima claimed ownership of the drugs and alleged that he was asked to give them to someone in Germany for a fee of 3,200 dollars.
