The Police Administration on Wednesday, assured the public that, security would be beefed up at the courts, to ensure affairs are conducted, devoid of fear and insecurity.
In a statement issued in Accra and signed by Superintendent Kwesi Ofori, Director of Public Affairs, therefore, advised the public,
particularly factions in the Ya Na�s murder trial, not to go to the court premises to foment trouble, because they would be dealt with according to the country�s laws.
�The administration further advises people, who would be entering the court premises for hearing of the case, not to go with implements, such as guns, cutlasses, knives or any implement adapted to cause injury,� it added.
The statement said the Accra Regional Police Command had been tasked to put strict security measures in place to prevent trouble makers from
carrying out with their plans.
�Anyone who would be at the court with the intention to cause any problem would be arrested and made to face the full rigours of the law.�
It said following last Tuesday�s incidence at the trial, two persons had been arrested and put before an Accra Circuit Court for trial, and
assured the public that adequate security measures were in place to ensure a peaceful smooth trial.
