Dr Owusu Achaw Duah, a medical consultant, has invited corporate bodies and individuals to invest in juvenile soccer to help unearth more talents for the nation.
He noted that there are a lot of football potentials in the country, particularly in the rural communities that needed to be developed through the building of academies and good pitches.
Dr Duah was receiving four sets of jersey and five footballs on behalf of the Amoawi Football Club in the Offinso municipality.
These were a donation from two United States (US)-based philanthropists, Logan Hunter and Cassey Trujillo.
The donation is in support of the Under-14 and 17 sides of the Club.
Dr Duah said it was important that, resources were mobilized to build the capacity of the technical men handling the juvenile teams.
The medical consultant said the need to pay serious attention to juvenile soccer was reinforced by the sublime skills and passion displayed
by young players like Andre Dede Ayew and Samuel Inkoom at the just-ended FIFA World Cup tournament in South Africa.
Dr Duah, who is a patron of the Club, thanked the donors for the gesture.
The two said the donation was their contribution to the development of football in the area.
