The Calvary Crusaders Ministry Men�s Fellowship, at Agona Swedru, in the Central Region, has presented 10 students� mattresses, four ceiling fans and four multi purpose wheel chairs totalling GHC3,500.00 to the Swedru Government Hospital.
Presenting the items, Mr Kwamena Arhin, President of the Fellowship, said the donation formed part of the social responsibilities of the
Fellowship.
He said such activities are done annually to support health facilities, educational institutions, corporate bodies and individuals in their community to relieve them of some of their suffering.
Mr Arhin who is also the Managing Director (MD) of Rinacand Construction Company, at Agona Swedru, said the health facility needed
assistance to enable the doctors, nurses and paramedical staff to discharge their duties effectively.
Mr Akwasi Asiedu, a Circuit Court Judge, and an executive member of the fellowship, urged religious groups and other organizations in the area, to go to the aid of hospital because the government alone could not provide all the equipment for the effective running of the facility.
He appealed to the authorities of the hospital to take good care of the items to prolong their life span.
Dr A. Dzordorgbe, Medical Superintendent of the Hospital, who received the items, thanked the donors for their kind gesture and expressed the hope that it would serve as booster to the staff.
He appealed to others to emulate their kindness and to assist in the provision of equipment and accommodation for doctors and nurses.
