Residents of Bonya in Koforidua have appealed to the Department of Urban Roads and the New Juaben Municipal Assembly to assist them repair and tar their road.
Mr Samuel Teye Oprem, an opinion leader, told the GNA in an interview that due to the bad
nature of the road few vehicles were plying the route.
Mr Oprem said the virtual absence of vehicles was affecting movement of workers, students and farmers and added that there was an urgent need to rehabilitate the road.
Mr Elias Ayeh, an opinion leader in the area, also appealed to the municipal assembly to
consider them when an exercise to lay new pipe lines begins in the municipality.
He said the community does not have good drinking water.
