The Thiruvananapuram-bound Kerala Express was held up for over two hours at Changanassery here
after a hoax bomb threat was received.
The train was stopped at 12:20 P.M. on Friday after the station master of Perinal railway station received an anonymous letter stating that there was a bomb in the Kerala
Express.
After a two and a half hour search by the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs facilitated by the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police, the bomb threat proved to be a hoax.
Meanwhile, the New Delhi-bound pairing Kerala Express,which had arrived at Kollam station at 12:15 P.M., continued its journey.
