Mr Enoch Teye Mensah, the Minister of Employment and Social Welfare, has appealed to management of private security companies to give their employees good salaries and other incentive packages.
Addressing a passing out parade for 200 personnel of the Sohin Security Check Limited at Afienya Mr Mensah said it was regrettable that
conditions under which some security personnel executed their duties left much to be desired.
The security personnel, made up of 175 males and 25 females, would offer services in both private and public establishments.
Mr Mensah commended security personnel for their contribution to augment national security.
He pledged government's commitment to working out effective modalities to help promote the welfare of private security personnel throughout the country.
Mr Solomon Adelaquaye, Chief Executive Officer of Sihin Security Check Limited that was established in 1995, said his company would train more personnel to reduce crime in the country.
