The Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Ho, on Sunday entreated mothers to extend their motherhood to their local communities and reach out to children and others outside their immediate families with love and care.
Reverend Seth Mawutor made the request in a message he delivered on the "role of mothers in the society" to mark this year's Mothers Day.
He said the demonstration of love by mothers often brought relaxation to their families and society at large and facilitate growth and
development.
He said mothers and women in general played very important roles in the socio-economic development of society and called on stakeholders to support them to play their roles effectively.
Rev. Mawutor advised wives to be home makers and desist from making unnecessary demands and rather bring comfort to their husbands and children.
He urged them to be submissive, respectful, supportive and hardworking.
Some mothers who distinguished themselves in the church were presented with gifts as part of a refreshment organised by the mission to mark the
day.
