The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration said on Wednesday it would soon complete the installation of additional data capturing equipment in the other designated centres to ease the congestion at the Passport Office due to the acquisition of biometric
passports.
In a statement the Ministry said with immediate effect, the Passport Office shall process applications for Biometric Passports in accordance with the following time table:
MONDAY
8.00 a.m. - 12.30 pm. - Applicants born in the three Northern
Regions (Northern, Upper East and Upper West Regions)
1.30 p.m. - 6.30 pm - Ministers and other top Government
Officials and Heads of Departments, MPs, Business Executives (Emergency/ Expedited Applications)
TUESDAY
8.00 a.m. - 12.30 pm. - Applicants born in the Brong Ahafo,
Volta Regions
1.30 p.m. - 6.30 pm - Public Servants: Ghana Missions Abroad
(Emergency/ Expedited Applications)
WEDNESDAY
8.00 a.m. - 12.30 pm. - Applicants born in the Ashanti and
Western Regions
1.30 p.m. - 6.30 pm - Business Executives, Religious
Leaders, Journalists, Lecturers, Ghanaians living abroad
THURSDAY
8.00 a.m. - 12.30 pm. - Applicants born in the Eastern and
Central Regions
1.30 p.m. - 6.30 pm - Public Servants; Legal Profession;
