The Volta Regional Police Command in collaboration with men of the 66 Artillery Regiment has embarked on a joint operation
dubbed "Operation Calm Life" aimed at reducing crime in the Ho Municipality and the Region.
The operation is also meant to portray a "show of force" whereby the Police will be visible in every part of the Ho Municipal area to scare off criminals and to send a signal that the town and the region could not be a safe haven for criminals.
Launching the operation Deputy Commissioner of Police David Ampah-Bennin, Regional Police Commander, said the men would embark on both
foot and vehicular patrols day and night to combat crimes such as robberies, murder and defilement which are on the ascendancy in the Region.
He expressed the hope that the operation would give people in the Region some peace to go about their daily activities without fear especially during the Easter festivities.
Mr Ampah-Bennin urged the joint team to work as a team and take orders from their officers for a successful operation.
