The Member of Parliament (MP) for Amansie West, Mrs Grace Addo, has presented items worth GH¢7,000.00 to 60 communities in the constituency.
These were made up of 240 street bulbs, 80 sets of football jerseys and 120 footballs.
Among the beneficiary communities are Manso-Yawkrom, Manso Asamang, Manso-Abodom, Manso-Kwanchiabo and Antoakrom.
Mrs Addo handed over the items during a tour of the area to interact with the people and listen to their concerns in order to better articulate these on the floor of Parliament.
She appealed to the people to give premium to education, saying, they should ensure that all children of school going age are in school.
Mrs Addo said this was the way forward if the area was to achieve rapid socio-economic progress.
She commended the chiefs and people of Manso-Asamang for their communal spirit.
The community is building an additional three classroom block for the Junior High School and she urged them to work hard to complete the project.
Nana Akuamoah Boateng II, the chief, thanked the MP for donating the items and appealed to her to support them with cement and roofing sheets to
complete the school block.
