Public Services Commission (PSC) on Friday officially launched its website in Accra to promote information sharing and dissemination within Ghana and abroad.
The website address: www.psc.gov.gh is expected to serve as a platform to inform and educate the public about its activities to drive purposeful and effective management of the national development process.
Mr. Samuel Woode, Chairman of PSC said establishment of the website would facilitate effective relations with client organisations,
stakeholders, the public and ensure the cost-effectiveness of human resource management of the public service.
He said the website would bring a healthy and informed interaction between the commission and its stakeholders on matters relating to its
mandate.
"Feedback would enable PSC improve its process and learn more from practices elsewhere as well as response positively to the needs of its clients," he stressed.
Mr Woode noted that the website would create a platform for the public to have access to credible knowledge and information to promote good
governance and ensure cost effectiveness in transacting business with the PSC.
Mrs. Bridget Katsriku, Vice Chairman of PSC said establishment of the website was in line with government's vision of providing more efficient and
effective governance by allowing the public greater access to information.
She urged the public to visit the website to ensure healthy interactions with PSC.
PSC was established to embark on a more rigorous policy of training and appointing Africans to positions in the civil service and offering
preference to Africans in all appointments, where they possessed the requisite qualification.
