One more person has been arrested from Hyderabad in connection with the spurious drug racket case in Tamil Nadu.
Vallamdas Ramu, a native of Nalgonda District, was arrested in Saifabad locality on Wednesday by the state CB-CID police on the charge of selling spurious Primolut-N tablets to Srinivasan of Sudarsan Medical Agencies, a CB-CID release said
here tonight.
He was arrested under Drugs and Cosmetics Act and various sections of IPC including 420 (cheating) based on information provided by another accused A Mohamed Amanullayh Dhathani of
Vellore, detained on April 12.
So far, more than 14 persons, including key accused Meenakshi Sundaram of Meena Enterprises, have been arrested in connection with the drug scam, which came to light after officials raided over 1,000 pharmaceutical shops after such
drugs were found in a dump-yard at Kodungaiyur here.
