A member of the Council of state, Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi has called on churches to educate their congregation on government policies and programmes to facilitate good governance.
Daasebre Ewusi, who is the Omanhen of Abeadze Traditional Area in the Central Region, however cautioned the Clergy to draw a distinction between
government policies and those of a ruling party in order not to be branded as partisan.
He made the call in an address at the 70th anniversary celebration of the Grace Divine Healing Ministry at Ekumfi Adansi, near Mankessim.
Daasebre Ewusi said ministers of the gospel should take advantage of the large Christian following in the country to educate them on all
decisions of the government, in order to help them to make informed choices.
He congratulated the ministry for the anniversary, adding: "I wish your hearts are as white as the white apparels in which you appear."
The Council of State Member expressed disgust about reported cases of crime among Christians, especially the Clergy and urged Christian leaders to take steps to protect the religion.
Mr Kwaku Owusu, Secretary of the Ghana Association of Faith Healers said the Ministry of Health had given Grace Divine Healing Ministry
recognition as a health service provider.
He urged healing ministries to launch a campaign on malaria, which he said had become a great national threat to health.
Mr Owusu observed that 7,700 people seek medical attention a day, in Ghana due to malaria, whilst 103 people die daily from the disease.
Nana Ama Amissah II, Queenmother of Mankessim cautioned pregnant women against alcoholism, which she said accounted for babies born with deformities.
Senior prophetess Grace Affanyi Owusu Mensah, Leader of the Ministry expressed gratitude to God for guarding the mission through many challenges
that it encountered, especially after the death of the founder, Prophetess Affanyi, 12 years ago.
