Yaw Nkrumah, a 19- year old farmer from Acquakrom, near Twifo Praso, who defiled a four- year old girl was on Tuesday jailed 20 years by the Cape Coast Metropolitan Court.
He pleaded guilty to the charge of defilement and told the court that his action was motivated by Satan.
Prosecuting, Police Inspector Daniel Baidoo told the court presided over by Mrs Florence Kai Otu that the convict and the victim's parents lived in the same house at Acquakrom.
He said on Tuesday, February 2, 2009, Nkrumah forcibly defiled the four-year old girl when her parents were out of the house.
Chief Inspector Baidoo said the victim narrated to her mother the ordeal she went through in the hands of the convict as soon as she returned home.
He said the mother in turn informed her husband upon his arrival home and he made a report to the Police who arrested the convict.
