=Five suspected armed robbers were on Friday arraigned before the Tema Circuit Court 'A,' charged with attempted robbery.
They pleaded not guilty and were remanded into police custody to re-appear on February 4.
Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Matilda Tetteh, told the court presided over by Mrs. Lorinda Owusu that the accused persons were on the
Police Wanted List for series of robberies around Tema and Ashaiman.
Chief Inspector Tetteh gave their names as Kofi Richard, 27, Kofi Alhassa,n 43, Yahaya Mohammed, 25, Atice Abongo, 32, and Jacob Nartey, 20.
The prosecution said acting upon a tip-off last week that the suspects were planning to embark on a robbery operation, police arrested them at the
Ashaiman market square where they were conspiring to commit the crime.
