Three people were killed and several others injured Tuesday afternoon in a shooting at a truck rental office in Cobb County near Atlanta, Georgia, CNN reported.
CNN updated the death toll that it previously reported as two. Three other people were wounded and were already taken to hospitals, according to CNN.
Condition of the surviving victims is still unknown. The accident happened when a man walked into the truck rental office and began shooting, CNN quoted local police authorities as saying.
Cobb County police officer Joe Hernandez said that the suspect fled the scene in a pickup truck and was arrested about a mile from the rental
facility.
The suspect, identified as an ex-worker at the rental facility, is now in custody, said Hernandez, adding that the suspect is believed to conduct
the shooting single-handedly.
Hernandez did not give details on why this tragedy happened.
