Two persons are being held by the Asante-Mampong Police for allegedly defiling a 15-year girl in a hotel.
Sylvester Abiwu, 17, a resident of Dansoman in Accra and Dauda Ahmed, 20, were arrested on January 2, 2010.
Police Chief Superintendent Edward Oduro Kwarteng, the Divisional Commander, told the Ghana News Agency that Abiwu was in Asante-Mampong to spend the New Year.
He said with the help of Ahmed, Abiwu lured the victim to a hotel where they sedated her with a drink.
Abiwu took advantage and sexually assaulted her for three days. She was rescued by the police following a tip off.
Chief Superintendent Kwarteng said the suspects would be prosecuted as soon as investigations were completed.
