Beneficiaries of International Needs Ghana (ING) skills training schemes have been advised to utilize the skills they have acquired to secure their future.
Mr Sylvanus Adukpo, Gender and Empowerment Programmes Manager of ING said many beneficiaries including women have made strides towards reducing poverty in their homes.
He gave the advice when he presented working tools to 15 women from Keta Municipality who were among 94 others from Ketu-North and Akatsi districts to undergo two -and- half months training at the ING Vocational Training Institute at Adidome.
The training was in catering, textiles printing, soap and pomade making.
The beneficiaries were given portable ovens, fabrics, baking flour and preservatives, sugar, chemicals dyers and stamps.
The programme was in collaboration with the Australian International Development Agency.
Mr Adukpo said his outfit concentrates on women's empowerment with the view to enhance their economic and social status.
The trainees were educated on various international and local laws guaranteeing the rights of women and children.
Ms Faustina Borkloe, Keta Municipal Director of the Department of Social Welfare urged women to show interest in issues pertaining to themselves and children.
