MUSIC duo, Hytee is gearing up to make a statement in the competitive Ghanaian music scene with the release of their new single, Jam It.
Produced by GADA in Dansoman, Accra, the upbeat song encourages listeners to focus on the good times and find peace in the moment, rather than allowiing problems overshadow their happiness.
Hytee consists of two talented artistes–singer, Federal, the singer and rapper,Hytee Eeshie. Their diverse skills not only complement each other but also create a unique sound.
On Jam It, Federal sings about creating unforgettable memories, while Hytee Eeshie raps about navigating life's challenges and finding ways to make the most of every situation.
With Jam It, Hytee aims to inspire listeners to adopt a positive outlook and find joy in the midst of difficulties.
According to Hytee Eeshie, the song is a motivation to listeners not to give up easily but always focus on good times.
“The song's message is clear: life may be tough, but with the right mindset and a focus on good times, anything is possible. If you don’t have this positive mentality, life will always beat you and make you sad even when there’s so much rainbow to admire in your life,” he said.
Federal's admiration for Ghanaian music and its potential for originality motivated his move from his native Nigeria's Delta State to Ghana in 2018 to pursue his music career.
In 2022, he partnered Hytee-Eeshie, real name, James Nana Yaw Asare and have released seven songs–Temptation, Ohemaa, Dance Along, PT, Fama Wo Ho, Wendy, and the latest, Jam It.
The duo expressed confidence their shared vision would ensure the group’s longevity despite the challenges that often break up musical partnerships.
They also hold high hopes their unique cross-border collaboration will serve as a business model for their peers.
“Ghana-Naija collabo in a group will go a long way to promote Ghanaian talent in Nigeria and beyond, creating a win-win situation for both countries and showcasing the richness of West African creativity to the world,” Federal said.
