Ghanaian musician and reigning TGMA Most Popular Song of the Year winner, King Paluta is celebrating after learning that his song "Aseda" has been featured in this year’s 2024/2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) which ended yesterday.

In a post on X (Twitter) on Tuesday, June 17, he expressed excitement, saying, "I don't know if it's really true but I heard there was a question in the BECE exams today about me. I'm popping the champagne already."

 The news confirms that King Paluta's music has reached the curriculum, highlighting his growing influence after featuring in the 2025 BECE.

The ‘Aseda’ hitmaker whose real name is Thomas Adjei Wireko, was featured in Section B of the Music and Creative Arts paper of the examination.

Students were asked to name two significant social issues that King Paluta’s popular song “Aseda” addresses in Question 4(c) of the paper.

The question stated: “King Paluta, whose real name is Thomas Adjei Wireko, is a Ghanaian musician known for blending traditional rythms, storytelling, and modern hip-hop beats in his music. One of his most popular songs, ‘Aseda’ carries deep messages that address important issues in Ghanaian society. Identify two of these issues.”

The track marks his third single of the year, further solidifying his status as one of the most consistent hitmakers on the Ghanaian music scene.
