The message of hope and justice ran through the songs in alignment with IJM’s commitment to spread God’s just nurture to bring freedom to everyone.
The Echoes of Freedom album was birthed from a place of using the message of salvation as preached by people of Christian faith to bring liberty to victims of child trafficking.
Gospel artiste, Eugene Zuta, who co-wrote the songs on the album, said his perception about freedom changed when he worked with IJM for five years.
Following his discovery and experience of the untold trauma victims of child trafficking go through at places such as Lake Volta, Eugene Zuta said it shaped his music ministry and had been focused on the messages of freedom and justice.
“There are not many songs on freedom and justice and what the bible says about the course of justice. All over the world, music is used as a tool for advocacy so this album is intended to soak the emotions and hearts of people in the fight for justice.
“Our God is a just God, who seeks freedom for everyone and with this album, we hope to trumpet the mission and vision of IJM to rescue victims of violence, child trafficking and restore survivors until they can thrive in freedom,” he stated.
