Want to take that full season of “Squid Game” to go? Now Netflix customers using iOS apps can download all episodes of a series season with one tap — more than three years after the feature launched on Android.
On Wednesday, Netflix announced the Season Download button for iOS, a much-requested feature that lets members download an entire season of their favorite shows with a single click. The company launched the feature in 2021 on Android, and it’s just now rolling it out for Apple’s iPhone and iPad. “We’ve heard that downloading episodes one-by-one has been a pain point for iOS members — something we’re now addressing with this rollout,” a Netflix rep said.
All Netflix original series and most licensed content is available to download for offline viewing. On a show’s display page, look for the button right next to the Share option. Tap it, and the entire season will start downloading automatically. To keep tabs on your downloads or manage individual episodes, visit the Downloads section under the My Netflix tab.
“No more downloading episodes one at a time — this feature is perfect for members gearing up for a long flight, a cross-country train ride, or simply planning some offline downtime,” Netflix said in announcing the feature.
Along with the feature’s launch on iOS, Netflix announced the top 5 most downloaded series to date by Android users:
“Squid Game” Season 1
“Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story”
“Squid Game” Season 2
“One Piece”
“Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story”
Netflix now boasts 301.6 million customers worldwide as of the end of 2024, after turning in fourth-quarter results that blew past Wall Street forecasts. In announcing the earnings, Netflix raised its 2025 outlook for revenue to be between $43.5 billion and $44.5 billion (up $500 million from its prior forecast) and for operating margin to be 29%, up one percentage point from the prior forecast.
The streaming giant also announced price increases across all plans in the U.S. and other markets, including the first price hike for its ad-supported plan and the first increase in two years on the Standard plan with no ads.
