Iconic Ghanaian gospel songstress Diana Hamilton has said she started her ‘Experience’ concert in London.
The ‘Experience’ concert is a gospel musical concert formerly sponsored by ‘Awake Purified Water’. This year’s event is organised in partnership with Enterprise Life Insurance and will be held at the Dominion Centre in London on October 5.
The partnership between Diana Hamilton and Enterprise Life Insurance is part of the promotional strategies to promote the insurance company’s AkwantuPa policy.
AkwantuPa policy which was introduced in 2017 is a funeral policy designed for Ghanaians living abroad. It enables the abroad-based Ghanaians to cover their family members who live in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch of this year’s event, Diana Hamilton explained the rationale behind organising the concert in the UK.
“The Experience with Diana Hamilton started in the UK. So it’s important that we go back to where it all began when we didn’t know where it was going but we trusted the Lord who told us what to do 10 years later, it is good that we have done Ghana 10 years but we take it to London because it is the doing of the Lord,” she said.
On why the event was launched in Ghana even though it will be held in Lond, the 2021 ‘Artiste Of The Year’ said;
” These days television, blogging, everything is done online and Africans abroad always look forward to what is happening in Ghana so this is an encouragement to all media houses that whatever you are doing you are being seen..it tells how well the Ghana media is doing.”
She explained extensively that because “We are partnering with Enterprise Life, it is prudent to let people abroad know about their services and products.”
The 2024 AkwantuPa Experience concert will also feature performances from musicians such as Kobby Mantey, Charlotte Appiah and Nigerian gospel star Ada Ehi.
