Netflix has renewed unscripted dating series “Perfect Match” for a third season. The show’s first season was released last year and debuted at No. 2 on the English-language TV rankings for the streamer.
The Kinetic Content series follows singles from across Netflix’s roster of unscripted relationship sudsers — including “Too Hot to Handle” and “Love is Blind” – who couple up and test their romantic relationships by engaging in compatibility challenges. Hosted by Nick Lachey, “Perfect Match” also sees “winning couples gain power in the game to bring in new singles to match with their castmates – setting up potential love matches or stirring trouble in paradise as they compete to be the strongest couple at the villa, crowned the Perfect Match,” per the Netflix synopsis.
The first six episodes of “Perfect Match” Season 2 debuted June 7, with three additional episodes dropped on June 14 and the finale bowing June 21.
Season 1 of “Perfect Match” saw Dom Gabriel and Georgia Hassarati as the winning couple, despite the pair announcing their split soon after the season dropped. Gabriel, along with “Too Hot to Handle” contestant Harry Jowsey returned to the second season of the series.
The second season’s cast included Alara Taneri (“Dated and Related”), Brittan Byrd (“Too Hot to Handle”), Bryan Constantin (“Squid Game: The Challenge”), Chris Hahn (“Dated and Related”), Christine Obanor (“Too Hot to Handle”), Tolu Ekundare (“The Trust”), Dominique Defoe (“Too Hot to Handle”), Elys Hutchinson (“Too Hot to Handle”), Jowsey (“Too Hot to Handle”), Holly Scarfone (“Too Hot to Handle”) and Izzy Zapata (“Love Is Blind”).
Additional contestants included Jake Cunningham (“The Ultimatum: Marry or Move on”), Jessica Vestal (“Love Is Blind”), Justin Assad (“Surviving Paradise”), Kaz Bishop (“Dated and Related”), Melinda Melrose (“Too Hot to Handle”), Micah Lussier (“Love Is Blind”), Nigel Jones (“To Hot to Handle”), Stevan Ditter (“Too Hot to Handle”), Trevor Sova (“Love Is Blind”), Xanthi Perdikomas (“The Circle”) and Gabriel (“The Mole”).
