The euphoria for next year’s general elections is already building up, with the two main political parties, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), making earnest preparations for the main event.
Interestingly, this time around, it appears several people want to equally test their popularity and one such person is comedian Lekzy Decomic.
Lekzy is set to treat comedy patrons to the witty side of campaigns when he headlines the Can Pain Message show scheduled for the National Theatre on Saturday, September 30 at 7 p.m.
If the commentary on social media by fans who thronged Snap Cinemas in 2021 and National Theatre last year for Lekzy’s Too Cute to Be Mute shows is anything to go by, then comedy enthusiasts are certainly in for a good treat.

Already, Lekzy and his team are whetting the appetite of netizens with posts and flyers on the upcoming show on social media.
One of the “Can Pain Message” flyers seen by Graphic Showbiz reads, “When I come to power, my abled team and I will operate like a chop bar. We will pound corruption down flat and serve Ghanaians with something delicious for the economic growth of our GDP”.
In a chat with Graphic Showbiz, Lekzy Decomic, an old student of Takoradi Technical University College, said he’s really prepared for the day.
“I have been working on this for quite a while and I can’t wait to share this incredible piece with the world on September 30. It is nothing too serious; we are just going to have fun and not to incite any political agenda.
“I'll be bringing all the favourite and popular politicians to the stage on the night,” he said.
According to Lekzy, he believes he still has a lot to offer and his performance at Can Pain Message will testify to his growth in the comedy business over the years.
The upcoming comedy show is a partnership between 2cute Entertainment House and National Theatre and a sequel to Lekzy’s Too Cute To Be Mute comedy special started in 2021.
Other comedians such as DKB, KSM, OB, Jh Joe and Kojo PJ have also been billed for the show to be hosted by Onua FM’s Captain Smart.
In addition to the humour therapy, “Can Pain Message” will also be laced with a poetry performance by Nana Asaase.
