ALTHOUGH?much has not been heard of musician Fameye, the talented Highlife act has been using the silence to ‘brew’ a single titled, Not God.
Not God which drops at the end of August holds a deep meaning for Fameye as he opens up on personal challenges within his immediate family, particularly issues concerning his children.
Although Not God is rendered in a low tempo pace, it is appealing to the ear and you can clearly hear the message he is trying to put across.
On this songs he draws inspiration from legendary Ghanaian musicians such as Daddy Lumba, Okomfo Kwadee, and Daasebre Dwamena, and he says he is aiming to channel their greatness in creating a musical masterpiece that transcends time.
Speaking in an interview with Graphic Showbiz singer who gave us Nothing I Get, Praise, Mati among others said With 'Not God,' will resonate with people for a very long time because he took his time to work on it
“I have written a lot of songs and was finding it difficult which one to choose from. I now realised I had to choose ‘Not God’ because it talks about my personal life, something I want to address at the moment,” he said.
Fameye plans to accompany the release of the song with a captivating music video.
The 2021 VGMA Song writer of the year has been in the music industry for about 5 years. He has done some collaborations with musicians like Joey B from Nigeria, Medikal, Sister Afia, Bisa among others.
