DESCRIPTION:
Theatre workshop dubbed “script to stage” facilitated by Dr. Ekua Ekumah (Head, Theatre Arts Department, University of Ghana) on the 17th.
All theatre professionals are invited including theatre students.
This is an opportunity to experiment with Dr. Ekumah on how to transform an idea into a script and create a performance out of a script. This session will use improvisation for the purposes of demonstration.

Is an 1800s classic play also known as "THE BEAR" comes in One Act and has three main
characters.
What's more, the play by it well-crafted plotting and thematic message cleverly touches on
issues of love- marriage, money - financial instability, the battle of the sexes, Prejudice,
Pride grieve-death and lose among other social vices still relatable in this era.

Tell an experimental play on Sexual Abuse and Domestic Violence, conceptualized, directed and produced by the creative director of Eagles Roar Creatives. It is an experimental that feeds on the experiences and abilities of the performers to express their views and ask thought provoking questions. In this experimental play, the life of the abused is likened to that of the spider, which has a very special place in the history of Ghanaian folklore. ‘TELL’ brings to life the reality of the effects of sexual abuse mixed with a blend of amusement in physical theatre.

It all begins in an undisturbed land of Anomansah. A village located in Elmina, present day Ghana before the arrival of the Portuguese. Daily life has been a blissful affair between Ama Ghana and her many children. A land where storytelling and laughter rises and recedes with the night. It is in this beautiful land of gold and splendour, of joy and respect, of plentiful sunshine and beautiful nights that Diogo discovers. Perceived as a god, he seduces Ama Ghana and Dzapata into letting their children go on a voyage unknown. A journey aboard a monstrous ship, a journey of pain, of sweat, of sorrow and of dirges. The story unfolds…

Ajenuloo, a Ga word for Riddles, concerns itself with creativity, wit, and a high sense of intelligence needed to unravel coded messages that are meant to intrigue the mind. This dance piece Ajenuloo, bodily narrates the journey of life which very much like a riddle, are unexplainable acts embedded within our varied art forms. These myriad art forms speak to the multi dimensionalities of our cultures and the complexities it evokes as part of the aesthetics of the Ghanaian or African art form.

(SDGs). Through the use of folklore, the performance engages SDG – Goal 3 - Good
Health and Well-Being, Goal 6 – Clean Water and Sanitation, and Goal 15 – Life on
Land. This presentation highlights the processes the ensemble employed in tackling
the key issues goals 3, 6, & 15.

A moose is loose in the village of Noxton. Everyone is terrified except the young girl Thozama. Her childlike innocence is violently taken from her as she is forcefully ushered into womanhood. An encounter with the ‘moose’ turns the course of her life forever.
