President Mohammed Morsi is to travel Germany on January 29 to seek support in rebuilding Egypt's economy, the state-run newspaper al-Ahram reported Wednesday.
Morsi would be accompanied by a business delegation and attend a seminar in Berlin on economic cooperation, the report said.
The visit will be Morsi's first to Germany since becoming Egypt's first elected civilian president in June.
The Egyptian economy has been battered by a wave of labour strikes and political turmoil in the aftermath of a popular revolt that forced Hosny Mubarak to step down almost two years ago.
