A trade delegation of 60 South African businesspeople representing 45 companies heads to Cuba on Sunday, the ruling African National Congress (ANC) said on Sunday.
The group would spend a week in Cuba exploring bilateral trade opportunities between the two countries.
"The visit, the first to take place on the 15th anniversary of the signing of trade and cooperation agreement between the two countries, is important given the two countries' commitment to promote South-South trade," ANC spokeswoman Jessie Duarte said in a statement.
The trip was facilitated by the Progressive Business Forum, an outreach arm of the ANC which promotes dialogue between corporate South Africa and the ANC.
