Angola and Brazil discussed in Luanda on Monday matters relating to strengthening bilateral relations, with the focus on the arrangement of the next meeting of the joint bilateral commission in early 2009.
After meeting with Angolan Parliament Speaker Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, Brazilian Ambassador to Angola Afonso Cardoso told reporters that they both reviewed "the level of bilateral cooperation based on a very friendly conversation."
The Brazilian diplomat said both Angola and Brazil were united closely for many centuries.
He said the relations between the two countries are "rich"; adding that the recent visit to Brazil by the Angolan Government delegation had assesses more areas for cooperation in the near future.
According to the ambassador, the next meeting of the joint bilateral commission would outline the routes susceptible for cooperation in the fields of education, health, science and technology, urbanization, architecture, and environment.
The Brazilian ambassador said Brazil would be a more direct participant in the extraordinary efforts being made by the Angolan Government and people in the country's socioeconomic construction and development.
