The Legacy Crop Improvement Centre Limited (LCIC) will mark its 10th anniversary on Saturday, November 8, with a commemorative event at the Legacy Square in Otareso in the Akwapim North Municipality.
The celebration, themed, “Ten Years of Stewarding Seed Business Excellence,” will highlight LCIC’s decade-long contributions to Ghana’s seed industry, including innovations in seed technology, strategic partnerships, and sustainable crop development.
A statement signed by LCIC Founder and CEO Dr Amos Rutherford Azinu said the event would feature keynote addresses from distinguished guests, recognition of stakeholders, and the unveiling of the Centre’s strategic vision for the next decade.
The programme will also include a commemorative ceremony, networking sessions with industry leaders, and a field visit to LCIC’s seed technology park.
“Your leadership and contributions to the seed industry have been exemplary, and we would be privileged to have you share in this celebration of excellence and innovation,” the statement said.
Over the past decade, LCIC has played a pivotal role in empowering Ghana’s seed sector through research, training, and seed quality enhancement, supporting farmers and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
