SYNLAB Ghana has been crowned the Overall Best Laboratory Centre of the Year at the 4th Ghana Medical and Diagnostic Excellence Awards, held at the Alisa Hotel on Saturday, August 9.
In a double honour, the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Patrick Asiamah, was also named Overall Best Diagnostics CEO of the Year. The awards were presented by the former Board Chairman of the Health Facility Regulatory Agency (HeFRA) and former CEO of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
The recognitions reaffirm SYNLAB Ghana’s reputation for delivering high-quality, accurate, and reliable diagnostic services.

According to the organisers, the honours highlight the company’s consistent commitment to medical excellence and patient-centred care.
This milestone also reflects SYNLAB’s values of passion, accountability, and customer centricity.
With a network of 20 branches across the country, including Accra, Tema, Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, Koforidua, Goaso, and Sunyani, SYNLAB Ghana continues to expand access to advanced healthcare diagnostics.
The laboratory offers more than 5,000 tests, ranging from routine screenings to advanced diagnostics in genetics and personalised medicine, including newborn screening, non-invasive prenatal testing (NIPT), DNA analysis, and pharmacogenomics (MyPGx).
SYNLAB Ghana operates under ISO 15189 international accreditation, ensuring compliance with the highest global standards of accuracy and competency.
