Latex Foam Rubber Company Limited was established in March 1969 and has been using the Dunlop technology under license from the Dunlop Company for the production of its products. The company introduced high-density foam mattresses in 1992, followed by super-soft foam for furniture upholstery, reinforced spring mattresses, and sofa beds in 1994. Today, the company manufactures a wide variety of mattresses, beds, pillows, sofas, and other accessories.

Aid Laba is the owner of Latex Foam Rubber Company Limited. Before establishing Latex Foam Rubber Products, Aid and his brother traded in general merchandise. In 2007, Latex Foam Rubber Products became the first company in Ghana to manufacture highly resilient foam mattresses with the launch of its Ultra-flex mattress. Subsequently, in 2010, the company introduced an anti-stress mattress, and it was also the first company in West Africa to produce viscoelastic (memory) foam mattresses. Latex Foam exports its products to Togo, Ivory Coast, Mali, and Benin.

Dunlop Latex is a traditional method that produces a denser foam. The process begins with collecting liquid latex from the trees, which is then treated to maintain its stretchiness, strength, and hypoallergenic properties. It is crucial to prevent the liquid latex from solidifying too quickly, so it is mixed with certain materials that ensure the foam remains smooth and consistent without any hard spots or lumps. This ensures that the latex is transformed properly and the final product is of high quality.

After the liquid latex is prepared to a smooth and even consistency, it is then transformed into foam layers required to form the mattress. The stabilized liquid latex is poured into molds and then vulcanized. This process results in a solid foam layer that provides excellent support. The Dunlop method is widely preferred due to its durability and resilience, which creates a firmer sleeping surface that appeals to those who seek substantial support.

Latex Foam Rubber Company Limited is committed to creating luxurious and eco-friendly sleep solutions for Ghanaians, while also supporting the welfare of the community in which it operates. In November 2022, the company donated GH?20,000 to the Students Financial Aid Office at the University of Ghana, Legon, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility to promote education and health. Additionally, in June 2021, Latex Foam sponsored the Tema Country Golf Club's 2021 President's Putter Tournament by providing branded items worth thousands of cedis. These items included a high-density (10-inch) mattress, a sofa bed, a queen-sized orthopaedic mattress, and 120 latex foam-branded polo shirts.

Natural latex, derived from the rubber tree, is known for its durability. Foam made from natural latex is considered to be more eco-friendly and is preferred over synthetic latex foam due to its natural composition. The Latex Foam Rubber Company Limited has multiple offices across Ghana, with its head office and primary factory located on Dadeban Road in the North Industrial Area of Kaneshie.
